The Rogers County Board approved a zoning change from RS-60 and RS-40 to commercial C-4 for a 1.86-acre tract east of South 4080 Road at the junction of Old Highway 20 and new Highway 20 in Claremore (Case No. 2626).
Planning staff said the applicant, John Robinson, intends to develop office-warehouse space for lease and has discussed driveway access off the new Highway 20 with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation; a driveway permit from ODOT will be required. Staff also said the commercial parcel will need to be platted and will move through engineering review before any development.
No members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing. The board moved to close the public hearing and approved the rezoning; the motion carried with commissioners voting aye.
