Community events and operations: Staff reminded the council that the archery and grass dump site is open daily until 7 p.m., that the Fourth of July weekend produced heavy calls and cleanup, and flagged the Plymouth County Fair on July 27. Councilmembers praised public works crews for their work following a storm.
Councilmember concerns: One councilmember reiterated concerns about prior property sales made "on a promise," referencing previous sales (including Centennial and the Charles Mott Library) and a pledge connected to a kitchen addition. Those remarks were framed as a call for follow‑through on prior commitments rather than as a formal motion.
No formal council motions were taken on these items at the meeting; staff will return with recommendations on the RFPs and with implementation steps for the tree work.
