Valley County grant writer Ken Schlegel presented a quarterly federal financial report on June 30 for the county's USDA Woody Debris grant and asked commissioners to sign the form. Schlegel said no money had been spent or received during the reporting period and the form was a status update requiring the board's signature.
“No money's, were spent or received, so it's just a status update signature,” Schlegel said. He told the board, “We have 46,000 left in the grant, and I'm working with Scott on getting invoices for work being done currently through the end of this month, to be able to collect and and send off. So, yes, we can submit for the balance of what we spend, up to the 47,000.”
A commissioner moved to sign the quarterly federal financial report for USDA Woody Debris; the motion was seconded and approved on a voice vote. The transcript records the motion as moved and seconded and the chair called “Aye.” The record does not include a numeric roll-call tally.
