Nolensville commissioner Kate Cortner resigns; board outlines 90-day replacement process

Town staff said they expect to present a resolution at the July meeting opening the application period for interested candidates, unless the board votes to trigger a special election. Commissioners asked that staff circulate details on how residents can apply and that the process remain transparent ahead of the July agenda.
Multiple commissioners publicly expressed gratitude for Cortner’s service during the meeting and encouraged residents to submit applications if they are interested in filling the remainder of the term.
