New Providence reports 2,292 students and high school class profile showing 91% four‑year college attendance

The Board of Education of the Borough of New Providence heard administration reports showing current enrollment totals and a post‑secondary profile for the Class of 2025.
District administrator Mister Uglioro reported the following enrollment counts: Allen W. Roberts Elementary, 630 students; Salt Brook Elementary, 582; New Providence Middle School, 393; New Providence High School, 651. That yields a total of 2,256 in‑district students and 36 students in out‑of‑district placements for a grand total of 2,292 students.
Administrators also provided kindergarten registration counts for September 2025: 90 registered at Salt Brook and 57 at Allen W. Roberts.
Doctor Zirpoli presented the Class of 2025 profile. She said 157 students graduated this year with a weighted average GPA of 3.75; average SAT reported as 1276 and average ACT 27. The class submitted 1,575 college applications (an average of nine per student) with an overall acceptance rate of 57%. Zirpoli reported that 143 of the 157 graduates (91%) planned to attend four‑year colleges, seven (4.5%) planned two‑year colleges, and three (1.9%) planned trade school; others planned gap years, military service, or employment.
Zirpoli named representative matriculation destinations cited by the administration’s class profile: Boston College (2 students), Boston University (1), Duke University (2), Fairfield University (2), Florida State University (2), Louisiana State University (2), Loyola (2), NJIT (2), Rutgers New Brunswick (8), Sacred Heart University (4), Syracuse University (3), University of Delaware (4), University of Maryland (5), University of Michigan (2), University of Miami (1), University of Texas at Austin (1), University of Virginia (2), Vanderbilt University (1), and Villanova University (1). She said the district would share the full class profile packet with board members.
The board acknowledged the district’s elementary and secondary celebrations—including high school graduation, middle‑school promotion and sixth‑grade clap‑outs—and thanked school leaders for organizing the events.
No board action was required on the enrollment or Class of 2025 reports.
