Beaver County commissioners approve 27 resolutions, approve minutes and issue two proclamations

Beaver County Commissioners on June 26 approved a package of county resolutions, ratified several minutes and bills, adopted a human resources personnel report and issued two proclamations, including recognition of a Beaver County native and professional photographer.
The board voted to approve Resolutions 062625-01 through 062625-27 as presented by the county solicitor. "Before the board today, resolutions 062625-01 through 062625-27. They have been prepared by the law department for the board's approval today," the solicitor said. The board approved the package by voice vote.
The commissioners also approved routine procedural items: the minutes of the June 12, 2025 public meeting and minutes for work sessions on June 11 and June 18, approved payment of bills, and adopted a human resources personnel report that had an accompanying attachment. Each of those items was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board issued two proclamations. One recognized Fred Buich, described at the meeting as a Beaver County native and professional photographer, honoring his career and recent life achievement award in photojournalism; Buich responded to the proclamation, thanking the commissioners and speaking about his roots in Midland, Pennsylvania. The second proclamation designated a week in July 2025 as "Sean Owens Unity Week in Erie County," as read by the board during the meeting.
Announcements at the close of the meeting included a notice that the county courthouse will be closed Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day, that the next public meeting will be held in July 2025 at 10 a.m. in the Commissioners Building Meeting Room, and that the July 2 work session was canceled. With no request for executive session, the board adjourned.
