Council approves salary adjustments for county manager, utilities manager and county attorney

Los Alamos County Council on June 24 approved salary adjustments for three contract employees following closed-session personnel discussions.
Councilor Haverman moved and Councilor Reedy seconded a motion to adopt the following salary adjustments effective at the start of the first full pay period in July 2025: a 5% increase for the county manager; a 5.5% increase for the utilities manager; and a 10% increase for the county attorney, which the motion said "includes a one-time 5% salary alignment." Council approved the motion by roll call vote, 7-0.
County staff indicated the adjustments reflect performance and are public information once processed. The motion directed implementation beginning with the July payroll cycle.
