The Lennox City Council approved a second pay application for the museum and bandshell construction project on July 1 and discussed remaining work needed before public use.
Staff recommended the payment to Schwartz Construction as the contractor neared project completion. During a recent walkthrough, staff noted unfinished items — including final lighting work, paint touch-ups and some window repairs — and indicated a contract time extension will likely be needed to complete those items. Staff said the electrician was scheduled and the goal remained to have usable lighting for upcoming events.
The council approved the pay application by motion. Staff will continue inspections and oversee contractor completion of remaining items and any required contract extensions.
