The chief said the department made policy and procedural updates and improved documentation systems so the accreditation team could verify compliance with standards.
The town manager and council members praised the department’s work, saying the accreditation process strengthened documentation and oversight and improved the department’s ability to demonstrate adherence to best practices. No formal council action was required; the chief said the department will continue to work on sustaining improvements.
