Several members urged careful and deliberate work. One member said, “This is probably one of the most important activities that we will ever undertake,” and called for transparency so the public understands the board’s direction. The board aims to return to the liaison committee with a clearer work plan and timeline after the August study session.
No formal decisions were made at the liaison meeting; staff and board members said they expect to present a recommended charter and committee appointments after the next study session.
