Council approves consent calendar including safe‑parking extension, event permits and grant agreements

At its June 24 meeting the Mountain View City Council approved its consent calendar by a single motion and unanimous vote. The consent calendar grouped 21 items, including permitting, leasing, grant agreements and CIP amendments.
Key items approved included: adopting an ordinance to align city purchasing code with state public contract code (Item 4.2); establishing the city’s FY 2025–26 appropriations limit (4.3); requests for Transportation Development Act funding for pedestrian and bicycle projects (4.4); special-event permits and street closures for Oktoberfest (4.5); an extension of the lease that allows the County of Santa Clara to operate safe parking on Shoreline Amphitheater Lot B through June 30, 2026 and Live Nation through December 31, 2030 (4.6 and parts of 4.7 as amended); execution of housing‑related funding agreements with the Community Services Agency and the County of Santa Clara (4.6 series); and acceptance of a cannabis tax grant to mitigate impaired driving (4.21).
Councilmember Hicks moved to approve the consent items and read the titles of the attached ordinances and resolutions aloud as required; Council approved the motion unanimously. Councilmembers thanked staff for the work that produced a large and complex consent calendar.
Because these actions were part of the consent calendar they were passed with a single vote and are effective as adopted unless a later item or appeal requires separate council action.
