After the presentation the board voted to approve the preliminary budget by roll call.
Draskovich summarized the recommendation and then told the board, “My recommendation is to approve the preliminary budget for the FY 2526 fiscal year.” The board moved and seconded the recommendation and approved it on a roll-call vote without dissent.
Board members framed the budget approval as a core board responsibility. One director said approving the budget is “the most important job that a board can do” and thanked staff for following a multi‑year process leading to the preliminary totals.
The motion approved the administrative recommended revenue and expenditure budget by fund for FY2026. The preliminary budget will be posted in the district packet and serves as the baseline for subsequent formal adoption steps and required public notices; final adjustments may follow budget hearings and additional analysis before final adoption.
