Lincoln Park council adopts sidewalk-sales ordinance amendment limiting permits to four per location

The Lincoln Park City Council adopted an ordinance amendment on June 23 amending chapter 8.72 of the codified ordinances (Sidewalk Sales).
The ordinance, read for the third and final time at the meeting, amends Section 8.72.04 to require a license fee “prescribed from time to time by council resolution” to be paid to the city clerk when filing a license application. It also adds Section 8.72.05(c), which states that the city clerk shall not issue more than four permits per location each calendar year for any sale described in the chapter.
The ordinance was moved, supported and approved by roll-call vote; Councilpersons Nichols, Dupree, Baer, Ross, Salcedo, Soar and Mayor Tobin voted yes. No public discussion on the ordinance was recorded during the meeting.
The ordinance amendment becomes part of the city's codified ordinances as read into the record at the meeting.
