Courtney, the drainage administrator, and county staff said the two appointed commissioners24Matt Oglund for Wright County and Perry Black for Webster County24have submitted a commissioners27 report of benefits. An engineer27s report previously prepared by Aberbia was also on file; the hearing will present both reports to landowners and the board.
Trustees voted to set the time and date after confirming availability of Webster County participants on the conference call. A motion to schedule the hearing for Aug. 4 at 10:00 a.m. was made and seconded; both Wright and Webster trustees recorded "aye" on the minutes. Court-reported conference details and staff present were noted during the motion, and drainage clerk Crystal Lloyd was listed among staff attending the call.
The hearing will allow landowners to hear the engineer and commissioners27 reports and raise questions before the board. The hearing sets the formal next step in the voluntary annexation process; no final annexation decision was made at the meeting.
