Howard County board approves change of resident agent for Dexter's Caddy Shack

The Howard County Alcoholic Beverage Hearing Board on June 24 approved a change of resident agent for the Class D (beer, wine and liquor) seven-day on-sale license held by Dexter's Caddy Shack.
The change names Eric Daniel Slosik as the resident agent in place of Benjamin J. Wilson for the tavern located at 12980 Livestock Road, West Friendship. The license covers a 962-square-foot snack bar, a 1,260-square-foot patio and the golf course property at the Willow Springs Golf Club, described at the hearing as about 111 acres. The board voted to approve the change after hearing sworn testimony from Slosik and a recommendation from the applicant's counsel.
The applicant's attorney introduced Slosik and said he manages operations at the snack bar and pro shop for the course and would act as the on-site resident agent. Slosik testified he lives on the property and would be available to oversee daily operations. "I live here, so I'm here full time whether I'm down here in the actual snack bar or not, so I can, always attend any issue if needed," Slosik said under oath.
Board members asked about employee training, ID checks and on-course monitoring. Slosik testified the snack bar employs about 10 to 12 people; three staff members, including him, already had alcohol-awareness training and he said he would ensure all employees who serve alcohol complete the required training. He described ID and service practices, including checking horizontal (adult) IDs, monitoring customer behavior for signs of intoxication and periodic cart or ranger patrols on the golf course to identify potential issues.
Counsel told the board that the property ownership and business structure include Centerville 123 LLC (owner of the property), Friendship USA LLC (course operator) and Dexter's Caddy Shack (snack bar operator), and that Mohammed Naim is the listed owner of the entities. The board incorporated documents on file into the record before taking testimony.
During deliberations board members described the application as straightforward. A motion to approve the change of resident agent was made, seconded and carried by recorded ayes. Counsel for the applicant confirmed the applicant waived the right to appeal at the hearing.
The change of resident agent is effective as approved at the June 24 hearing; the board did not specify additional conditions beyond the standard requirements of the county's liquor rules and the applicant's commitments at the hearing.
