The CNMI Youth Congress adopted Youth Congress Journal 20-01 and later voted to adjourn the first-day, second-regular session, the presiding officer announced.

The clerk recorded that six members were present and two were absent; Vice Speaker Mendiola and Senator Santos were noted as excused. With six members present the chamber constituted a quorum, the clerk said.

Floor leader Flora moved to adopt Youth Congress Journal 20-01; the motion was seconded. After a voice vote the presiding officer said, “Motion carries. Youth congress journal 20 dash 01 is hereby adopted.” The transcript records no roll-call tally.

At the close of business the floor leader moved to adjourn “subject to the call of the chair.” The motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. The presiding officer closed the session with the words, “The ayes have it in the session of the 20 seat May hereby adjourn.”

Both actions were procedural votes taken during the session; no committee hearings or substantive policy votes were recorded.
