Cumberland County board names Dr. Rebecca Farley director; chairman named contract negotiator

The Cumberland County Board of Education voted unanimously to select Dr. Rebecca Farley as the system's director, and the board appointed its chairman to negotiate her contract.

Board members cast recorded votes for Dr. Rebecca Farley; the secretary read the vote as follows: Elizabeth Sowell, Scott Van Winkle, Sherry Ingles, Chris King, Shannon Stout, John Matthews and Travis Cole all voted for Dr. Farley, producing a 7-0 tally.
