The commission voted to appoint Vice Chair Waller, Commissioner Sam Reynolds and Commissioner Miller to the legislative subcommittee. Commissioners indicated the subcommittee will operate with open meetings and will bring proposals back to the full commission for action; staff said the subcommittee traditionally convenes as a three‑member panel for focused drafting and outreach.
The decision sets the commission’s internal structure for early planning for the 2027 session and related regulatory work; staff will schedule subcommittee meetings and report outcomes to the full commission.
