County staff read an email from Kathy Thompson of Staley Engineering stating the Old Town Bridge contractor is tentatively planning to be on-site the week of July 14 to start construction; the date was described as tentative pending contractor and county meetings. Staley Engineering will post the contractor’s schedule on its Old Town Bridge project page and update it as available, the staff member said.
A commenter relayed an email from Aaron Weber of the U.S. Forest Service in Townsend reporting that some Forest Service personnel are assisting with the Jericho fire outside Broadwater County and warned residents to exercise caution with campfires and outdoor burning as the summer fire season approaches.
Those items were raised during the public-comment period; the commission did not take formal action on them during the meeting.
