The Michigan House of Representatives did not achieve a quorum on June 17, 2025, and the clerk adjourned the session until Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., the clerk announced.
The clerk also announced that several bills were reproduced and made available electronically, and read a message from the state Senate transmitting Senate Bill 424, described as a bill to amend the Offenders Registration Act; the transmission was noted for first reading and referral to the House Committee on Government Operations. The clerk announced a House Oversight Subcommittee on Public Health and Food Security meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 at noon in Room 326 of the House Office Building.
In addition, the clerk read notice of multiple administrative-rule filings received from the secretary of the senate. The announcements listed rules filed under codes including 25-05-16, 25-05-17, 25-05-18, 25-05-19, 25-05-20, 25-05-21, 25-05-22, 25-05-23, 25-05-24, 25-06-01, 25-06-02, 25-06-03 and 25-06-04, with department titles such as Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (psychology, podiatric medicine and surgery, optometry, real estate brokers and salespersons), Department of State (recounts, electronic voting systems, board of state canvassers procedures, visual standards for driver licenses), and Department of Health and Human Services (ALS reporting, child care fund), and Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (workers' compensation healthcare services; COVID-19 for health care, part 505).
The announcements were procedural and no legislative debate, motions, or roll-call votes were recorded during this brief session. The clerk's statements constituted the official entries for the record; no additional action was taken because a quorum was not present.
The House record indicates the next convening is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.; the subcommittee meeting on public health and food security is set for noon that same day.
