Council adopts small voluntary annexation for Greenbrier Park parcels

The Town of Garner on June 17 unanimously adopted an ordinance (No. 2025‑53‑38) approving a voluntary contiguous annexation petition for two small parcels associated with the Greenbrier Park development.
Planning Director Jeff Trezenberg told the council the annexation would bring about 2.09 acres of parcels and approximately 2.11 acres of adjacent right‑of‑way into the town’s corporate limits to consolidate the Greenbrier Park development footprint within town boundaries. Trezenberg said the associated conditional zoning for the larger development had been approved previously and this annexation request is a cleanup to include corner parcels and right‑of‑way.
Councilmember Singleton moved to adopt the ordinance; the motion was seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Elmo Vance and passed by voice vote with no opposition.
The annexation brings the listed parcels into Garner’s limits and enables the town to provide services and apply local regulations to the area. Staff indicated the annexation and adoption of the ordinance completed the legislative step described in the public hearing packet.
