The Town of Garner council voted 3–2 on June 17 to approve a conditional rezoning for a development called Renmore Pines (CZMP24004) that will allow up to 87 dwelling units on roughly 25.68 acres in the town’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Assistant Planning Director Erin Joseph told the council the petition rezones land from R‑2 to R‑8 conditional and includes 75 single‑family detached homes and 12 single‑family attached units (townhomes). Joseph said the site lies within the Lower Swift Creek Conservation Overlay District and that the applicant had proffered a series of conditions addressing site design, architecture and open space.
