Maluhai beneficiary asks DHHL to review $60,000 VOCA allocation in statewide projects budget

“I just wanna ensure that if this $60,000 includes, for some reason, any any assessments for Kaopea, then I’d like for someone to look into it,” Homilani Shadel said, adding that when Kaopea entered development previously, an advance payment covered the difference in units and that, after construction, VOCA should refund any monies that were advanced in error.
Chair and staff directed the question to DHHL staff (Katie Lambert was suggested as a contact) for follow‑up; Homilani said she would provide additional comments at the next meeting if needed.
