The Technology and Operations Committee voted to place on the full board agenda a recommended award to Anderson Analytical Inc. for inspection, maintenance and repair of air compressors and air dryers at Tollway facilities.
Dave Donovan, presenting under facilities and fleet operations, said the Tollway has 27 air compressors and 13 air dryers used by automotive mechanics across the system and that the contract would provide biannual inspections and repairs as needed. "The Tollway currently has 27 air compressors and 13 air dryers at our facilities," Donovan said. The recommended award is contract 24-0151RR to Anderson Analytical Inc., of Valparaiso, Indiana, in an amount not to exceed $248,860 for a four‑year period that includes a two‑year optional renewal.
Donovan told the committee there was one bidder and that this was the third advertisement for the contract; staff attributed the low response to the contract’s relatively small size and wide geographic dispersal of equipment. No Business Enterprise Program (BEP) or veteran goals were established because no registered firms qualified. A motion to approve placement of facilities and fleet item 1 on the full board agenda was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; the item will appear on the June board agenda with the committee's recommendation.
