The board announced an executive session later in the agenda for personnel matters, but the student-discipline votes were taken in open session on the public record. The motions reflect the board's acceptance of the administrative findings and direction to the solicitor to formalize the adjudication and notice to the student and family.
The district's motion referenced Policy 227 (controlled-substance policy) as the basis for the finding; the written adjudication and related notices will include appeal information and options for continuing education during the expulsion period, according to the board's direction.
