The council held a public hearing on the proposed FY2025–26 budget before voting to adopt a budget ordinance that keeps the regular tax rate at $0.50 per $100 of assessed value and maintains electric rates. The budget as presented included a 10% increase in water volume charges, a 5% increase in sewer volume charges, and a $5-per-month increase in the TV (Compass) portion of a monthly charge effective in January.
