Vice Chairman Bernd of the Idaho Senate State Affairs Committee told committee members that he had emailed assignments and would issue additional tasking later in the day regarding temporary rules in the committee binder.
He asked members to contact agency representatives to discuss proposed changes, large or small, and to arrange times for agency staff to appear before the committee to explain the changes. "If you could look over the assignments and reach out to the agency representatives, and have a conversation with them and ask about changes," Bernd said.
Bernd said he expects committee presentations to begin next Wednesday and that he will issue more assignments related to the remaining temporary rules in the binder. No formal vote or binding scheduling action was recorded in the transcript; the remarks constitute committee direction to individual members to prepare for future rule-review hearings.
Committee chair and other members acknowledged the plan and indicated no further questions on the directive. The committee then proceeded to the next agenda item.
