During the Aug. 12 Saline Area Schools board meeting members approved the meeting agenda, authorized the consent agenda and voted to enter a closed session to discuss collective bargaining.
Early in the meeting the board approved the agenda as printed by voice vote. Later, after discussion of reports and public comment, a motion to authorize the consent agenda passed by voice vote. Near the meeting’s end the board voted to enter a closed session at 7:32 p.m. for collective bargaining under the Open Meetings Act (8(c)); the meeting notice stated there would be no action taken after the closed session. The board adjourned the regular meeting at 8:21 p.m.
Ending: The board scheduled a special meeting to approve a contract with SCA and noted a public comment from a SEAC representative during the meeting.
