The Erie Land Bank approved a proposal to update its website with Workbot for $8,550 to improve inventory management, maps and property listings.
Executive Director Aaron reviewed the vendor proposal and said the current site, built in 2017, is outdated and does not allow staff to manage property listings easily. "It's just kind of an inventory list," he said, noting the update would enable aerials, maps and easier on/off posting of properties. Workbot designed and hosts the current site and provided the recommended package to modernize it.
Board members supported the investment as part of a more aggressive marketing effort for Land Bank inventory. One member said the site needs to be "functional" and user-friendly if staff are to market properties actively.
A motion to approve the Workbot proposal was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote. Staff said the upgrade will allow easier inclusion of maps, aerial imagery and listing updates to help prospective buyers and developers find and evaluate properties more quickly.
