One commissioner said the county should tell Raleigh it is opposed to a measure that would constrain the county’s ability to zone land as it sees fit.
A motion was made and seconded instructing the county manager to prepare a resolution in opposition; the motion passed by voice vote.
County economic development staff said county associations and other counties had raised concerns about the inserted language. Commissioners asked that a draft resolution be available for the board to consider at the June 30 meeting.
