The Holyoke Community Preservation Act Committee approved an application calendar for the coming funding cycle and agreed to delay the eligibility application deadline from Aug. 1 to Aug. 15.
Naomi, the committee staffer, presented an outreach plan that includes a press release, social media promotion and an application workshop. The timeline adopted by the committee calls for eligibility applications to be due Aug. 15, full applications due in early October (the committee discussed Oct. 3 as a target), historic‑commission review and consultant reports in November, public presentations in January, a committee vote in February and referral to City Council for approval in March.
Committee members asked staff to coordinate with the city solicitor's office and the Historic Commission so reviewers and consultants are available. Members also recommended streamlining applicant attendance at review meetings; the committee agreed to keep coordination flexible to reduce duplication for applicants. The committee approved the schedule, as revised, by unanimous roll call.
