At the June 10 status update meeting the Kootenai County Board of Commissioners voted to enter an executive session and later voted to exit with a directive for staff to proceed as discussed.
A commissioner moved “that we enter into executive session pursuant to Idaho Code” (as stated during the meeting). The roll call recorded Commissioner Eberlein voting Aye, Commissioner Duncan voting Aye, and Chair Metairi voting Aye.
Following the executive session, a motion was made and seconded to exit executive session with staff to proceed as discussed. Commissioners again voted Aye: Eberlein, Duncan and Chair Metairi. The board announced the motion carried and adjourned the meeting at 10:58 a.m.
The board cited Idaho statute when moving into executive session; the meeting transcript recorded the statute verbally as spoken during the meeting. No further detail about the executive session’s subject matter was disclosed in the public minutes.
