Riley Bosakir, senior planner with Development Services, briefed commissioners on the PTAC composition and workload. Bosakir said PTAC includes a mix of planning commission and zoning commission members, board-of-adjustment and parks-board representatives, development professionals, engineers, architects, environmental and historic specialists, and community members. He noted the 2022 PTAC met weekly for about eight straight weeks with four-hour meetings during the amendment cycle.
Commissioner Sipes volunteered to serve again and was nominated and approved by acclamation as the primary member. Commissioner Bottos accepted nomination and was approved as the alternate. Chair John Bustamante thanked the commissioners and staff for continuity heading into another round of UDC amendments.
What happens next
Sipes and Bottos will serve two-year terms and should expect heavy workloads when the 2027 UDC amendment cycle reaches PTAC. The commission asked them to coordinate with staff and report back to the zoning commission as needed.
