Officials cautioned about technological and enforcement limitations: Kokar noted vehicles sometimes have tags that do not match the vehicle, which can limit enforcement; speakers also said the technology is still maturing and that jurisdictions using it are collecting data to evaluate effectiveness.
No formal city action was taken; staff committed to contacting Prince George's County to gather the county's status and any process the city must follow to request a camera.
