Lazarow said he enrolled veterans, filed disability claims and helped veterans connect with VA health-care enrollment, vet centers and state veteran services. Lazarow described a mix of outcomes: some veterans received retroactive payments large enough to substantially change their financial situation, he said, and other claims are pending.
