Wolf told the council that the quotes obtained are within the amounts allocated in the capital plan and that equipment purchases would not require payment until delivery.
Council member Newland moved to approve the purchase; Council member Robertson seconded. The motion passed by voice vote with no roll-call tally recorded in the transcript.
Manager Wolf said the chief procured the quotes through a purchasing cooperative allowed under state statute and had sought multiple builder quotes. The staff report stated the current quotes are within the budgeted amounts identified in the capital improvement plan.
The council's action commits the city to the purchases described in the staff report; the financial impact section of the staff report notes expenditures will be paid when the equipment is delivered.
