Staff said the Ag‑2 minimum lot size is 1 acre and noted an existing mobile home with a septic system on the parcel. The health department’s Neil Brown indicated setbacks tied to the septic would make it difficult to maintain required separations from new property lines; staff said options could include moving the septic or altering lot lines, both of which carry cost or feasibility questions for the petitioner.
The petitioner, who was not present in the room, requested a one‑month continuance to work with staff and the health department on alternate lot configurations and septic options. Commission members accepted the continuance by motion and unanimous voice vote.
Staff confirmed the item was advertised and property owners were notified; the continuance gives time to evaluate layout options and septic feasibility before the July 2 hearing.
