Care of Southeastern Michigan opens in Roseville; nonprofit outlines services and open house

Susan Siskemeyer, chief executive officer of CARE of Southeastern Michigan, introduced the nonprofit to the Roseville City Council on June 10 after relocating operations to Roseville in March.
Siskemeyer told council members CARE (referred to in the meeting as "Care House") has nearly 50 years of service experience and provides substance-use services, mental-health offerings and parenting classes. She said the organization had previously received opiate settlement funds in Clinton Township and that the Roseville site is intended to broaden local access. The organization moved into the former Christian Financial Credit Union building near John's Jewelry, and Siskemeyer noted the facility includes a larger parking area than their previous location.
Siskemeyer invited council members and residents to an open house where CARE staff will present the services they provide and distribute informational brochures. No funding requests or formal actions were associated with the presentation.
How it matters CARE—s presence in Roseville adds another local provider of substance-use and related behavioral health supports. The open house is intended to familiarize residents and community partners with CARE—s services.
