Committee prequalifies procurement timeline for construction-manager-at-risk selection

The Stoughton Building Committee’s prequalification committee reported a schedule and process to select a construction manager at-risk (CMAR) to price the design-development (DD) documents and manage construction.
Project staff said the RFQ was advertised and that RFQs are due June 26 (the transcript states RFQs due June 26, adjusted for a holiday), with a shortlist to be formed by July 14. The committee expects to issue an RFP to the shortlisted firms, hold interviews the week of Aug. 11 and aim for a selection recommendation around Aug. 22 so the CMAR can be onboarded in late August to help finalize pricing of the DD set.
The prequalification committee members were listed as a six-person panel that includes committee members and DRA representation; project staff said small adjustments to submitted documents were distributed to the prequal committee. The committee confirmed the recruitment and selection schedule and said it will convene the prequal panel to agree on shortlist criteria and interview formats.
No formal vote was required for the update; the item was informational. The schedule is intended to align the CMAR procurement with remaining design and pricing tasks so GMP pricing can follow design completion.
