The Duchesne County Commission voted June 9 to recognize a local America250 community committee and to enter the logo-usage agreement with the state’s America250 Utah program.
Commission staff presented Resolution 25-07, which designates a Duchesne County Utah 250 community committee as the county’s official local partner and expresses county support for signature programs of America250 Utah. Commissioners read the resolution in the public meeting prior to the vote.
Board members also reviewed a logo-usage agreement that the county would sign if it intends to use the America250 trademark and related merchandising under the state’s parameters. Staff and counsel said the agreement contains conditions to manage trademark and merchandising use; commissioners indicated they do not expect large-scale merchandise sales but would likely use letterhead, banners and permitted materials.
The motion to approve Resolution 25-07 and authorize the chair to sign the logo-usage agreement passed by voice vote. Commission staff will execute the agreement and handle subsequent coordination with the America250 Utah Commission.
