Camp also said the board previously directed staff to use Campbell Commercial Real Estate as the property management expert to advise on terms. When a board member asked whether the prospective tenant might also need access to space at 236 Main Street for materials and storage, Camp said the tenant had not supplied that information but that staff could have the property manager follow up and bring terms back to the board.
A board member moved to direct the city manager to negotiate and enter into a lease "with Freeman Artworks for tenancy at 240 Main Street with the terms discussed," and the motion passed unanimously on a roll-call vote. The motion language in the transcript used the name "Freeman Artworks," while Camp had identified the packet tenant as "Framon Artworks," and the board did not resolve that discrepancy on the record.
