2025 Yamhill County Fair and Rodeo ambassadors introduced to commissioners

Commissioner Derek Johnson introduced the ambassadors — Brianna Titulard, Orion Gladheart, Kaden (Caden) Christiansen and Quinn Johnston — and invited each to describe their post‑graduation plans and what they hope to accomplish while serving as fair ambassadors.
Brianna Titulard, a Dayton High School graduate, said she will attend George Fox University in Newberg in the fall to study elementary education. Orion Gladheart, also from Dayton High School, said he plans to attend the University of Idaho to major in animal sciences with an emphasis on production and marketing and to minor in agricultural business. Caden Christiansen, an Amity High School graduate, said he will begin at Chemeketa Community College before transferring to Oregon State University to study agricultural business with a minor in animal science. Quinn Johnston, a recent Dayton High School graduate, said he will attend Chemeketa and is still deciding on a long-term career path but hopes to use the ambassador role to promote the fair and bring in visitors.
Commissioners asked the ambassadors how they overcame nerves around public speaking and what they were most looking forward to at the fair. Ambassadors said practice and participation in organizations such as Future Farmers of America helped them become more comfortable speaking in public, and they said they most looked forward to meeting people, making community connections and promoting the fair — including attracting visitors from outside Yamhill County. One ambassador suggested exploring future relocation or expansion of the fairgrounds to accommodate growth and additional horse events; commissioners did not take action on that suggestion during the meeting.
Ending: Commissioners thanked the ambassadors and invited them to stay for the remainder of the meeting or continue with their day.
