BSRB encourages CE Broker sign-up ahead of July CE requirement change

The Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board’s executive director told the Licensed Psychology Advisory Committee that the board’s partnership with CE Broker has been active for five to six months and that the vendor’s portal can speed audits of continuing education documentation.

David Fye, the board’s executive director, said the partnership is voluntary and free for licensees, and staff continue to encourage psychologists to activate CE Broker accounts and upload CE documentation. "If they activate the account with CE Broker and upload their documentation and assign it in certain categories, if they're pulled for audit, we can log in to the portal, check their hours very quickly, and then approve them through the audit process very quickly," Fye said.

Fye and staff discussed practical signup guidance: licensees should enter their full license title (for example, "LP" plus the license number) and include leading zeros if applicable. The board said it will reissue signup links, add CE Broker links to individual profession pages on the BSRB website and continue outreach as account activation grows.

Fye also reminded the committee of a statutory change taking effect July 1, 2025: the number of continuing-education hours required in the category of diagnosis and treatment will decrease from six hours to three hours per renewal cycle. He said the legislature enacted the change earlier and the board will implement it beginning July 1; staff will post updated guidance on the board website and notify licensees.

Committee members asked staff to resend signup links and suggested placing the CE Broker link prominently on profession pages to improve uptake. No new board rule was adopted at the meeting; staff said they will continue outreach and evaluate account-activation rates.
