Board approves 50% of superintendent performance pay after executive session

The Bullhead City School Board voted June 10 to award Superintendent Dr. Stewart 50% of her available performance pay for the 2024–25 fiscal year following closed‑session evaluation and discussion.
After the board convened in executive session for Dr. Stewart's annual evaluation and a separate executive session on performance pay, trustees returned to public session and took a public vote. "I make a motion that we give Dr. Stewart 50% of her performance pay increase for the fiscal year," a board member said; the motion passed with unanimous support from the four members present.
Board members complimented Dr. Stewart on district accomplishments during the year. The vote recorded "I, Melinda Sobrowski; I, Charlene Diaz; I, Barb Zarczicki; I, Judy Reed" in favor. The board did not release details of the closed‑session evaluation beyond the public action to grant the partial performance pay.
