McCall approves easement and issues conditional award for 2-million-gallon water storage tank

The McCall City Council on June 12 authorized a purchase and sale agreement to secure a water utility easement from the Nokes Family Limited Partnership for $50,000 and issued a conditional notice of award to Ascorp Inc., doing business as Debco Construction, for the base bid on the Lower East Side water storage tank project in the amount of $8,349,035.
The easement purchase was presented by Nathan Stewart, McCall public works director, who told the council the parcel provides the access and alignment needed to connect a new tank to the city’s water treatment plant via a transmission main. “This purchase and sales agreement is specifically for the easement that is directly adjacent to our existing easement on this parcel…we will be compensating them $50,000 for that easement,” Stewart said.
