The amendment raises the contract to $167,000 to cover projected usage through the fiscal year. Staff said Medicaid covers the treatment services themselves; the county contract covers room-and-board costs for clients referred through the county's Behavioral Health Resource Center and other referral channels.
Committee members asked about budget caps, other providers in the residential-treatment network and how county staff project usage across the provider network. Staff said they base projections on prior-year activity, the number of referrals and provider availability, and that the county balances network funding to ensure needed placements across providers. The committee approved the amendment by voice vote.
