Del Valle ISD to recommend Petroleum Traders for fuel RFP; item set for June 17 adoption

Del Valle ISD staff presented information about a request for proposals for bulk unleaded and diesel fuel for the 2025–26 school year and said they will recommend Petroleum Traders, the district’s current supplier, for board approval at the June 17 meeting.
“On May 2 the district issued an RFP for bulk unleaded and diesel fuel for the 2025–26 school year… we had eight vendors responding with proposals,” Ms. Dina Edgar said. She told trustees that proposals and the scoring rubric were included in the board packet and that Petroleum Traders is the vendor staff plans to recommend at the June meeting.
Trustees asked how long Petroleum Traders has been the vendor; staff said this is their second year. The presentation was informational; formal adoption will be on the June 17 consent or action agenda.
No board action was taken at the special meeting.
