Stat. 1006.205). Legal counsel and outside counsel (Coward & Coward) recommended adding an explicit cross‑reference to the statute in the policy to remove uncertainty and show the board’s intent to follow state law; staff agreed to consider revised placement (for example moving the statutory citation ahead of the sections on participation rules) or adding the statute verbatim.
Other teaching-and-learning rule updates Staff also presented proposed repeals and consolidations in teaching-and-learning policies (for example repeal of older special‑program trip and student‑employment policies and consolidation into field‑trip and fundraising policies).
