Carlsbad staff preview summer arts-education programs, school partnerships and Pop Up Art return

The Arts Commission on June 5 received an update from Vietkha Do, the community arts coordinator overseeing arts education, on spring activities and upcoming summer offerings.
Do said the Cultural Arts Office runs several school-targeted programs: Explore More (formerly the three-part art program) for second and third graders, the California History and Art Program (CHAP) for fourth graders that includes a visit to Leo Carrillo Ranch, and Club Pelican, a one-week STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) program for ages 7–11 with multiple sessions.
