Commissioner Tom reported meeting with Parking Commissioner Zach Babo about concerns at 1012 North Shore Road. Babo advised that commercial vehicles parked in the driveway will not be ticketed and that residential vehicles can get free city parking stickers. Commissioners agreed to communicate these options to the property owner and to assist with a translator and a step‑by‑step plan for removing a failing retaining wall that is leaning toward a neighbor’s house.
Commissioners also noted other recent site visits, including Slade’s Mill and 74 Dunn Road, and said DPW had completed sewer backups and cleanups related to these properties. The chair emphasized the need for an impartial translator for next steps where language barriers exist. The commission then adjourned.
